Telescope Workshops & Viewings from Astro Adventures are designed to solve one of the biggest frustrations in backyard astronomy: owning a telescope or binoculars but not really knowing how to use them. We come to you in the Essexville, Michigan region and walk you through everything step by step, in plain language.

Telescope Setup Training is hands‑on from the start. We work with your actual equipment-refractors, reflectors, or compound scopes-to show you how to assemble each part, balance it, and get the finder aligned. You'll learn how to aim smoothly, focus sharply, and choose the right eyepiece for the target.

Guided Telescope Use sessions add a visual observing guide and a small accessories kit to take home. Together we'll use your scope on bright, forgiving targets like the Moon, planets, or star clusters while we explain what you're seeing and how to track objects as they drift across the sky.

Binocular Astronomy Workshops prove that you don't need a big telescope to do real astronomy. We show you how to brace your binoculars, sweep the sky, and pick out star fields, open clusters, and even a few galaxies, along with tricks for dealing with shaky hands and light pollution.

Night Sky Observation Techniques focus on the art of observing itself-how to read star charts, use a red flashlight, adapt your eyes to the dark, and identify constellations and seasonal landmarks so you can navigate the sky without feeling lost.
